I don't have much time now a days with 2 small children and a busy home life, so once again I have created a card within half an hour for a party my son went to today. I really need to sit down for half a day and create a whole lot of cards for these last minute moments.
This time I was inspired by Paula Dobsons wonderful card creations with her Sponging, masking techniques and her Sepia Silhouette card. I tried it with the stamp set Dinoroar (which I love) and started trying to make the sponging look like hills, but after a while got too excited with this technique and realised it looked like a mix of clouds and hills.
I found by sponging Lucky Limeade with Island Indigo it created this fantastic green that changed to various colors as I kept applying in different areas.
I then stamped the Dinoroar images (RRP $45.95 Clear or $57.95 wood mounted) directly on the card stock with Staz On, then onto a sheet of Confetti White card stock, water colored then cut them out, and lay them on with Dimensionals to give the 3-D effect.

Wedding cards
I had two cards to make today for the same wedding, the first I had time to create and then was given half an hour to created the second (someone forgot to organise themselves better lol). The funny thing is I prefer the half hour rush job one better then the one I created in advance...
The first card was a little spin on the average wedding card, this Idea was given to my by a friend who lent me the "On The Line" stamp set, which unfortunately is a retired item. Why you say did I post it... because it looks cute!!
The Second card is the one I created with only half an hour to do it in version and because I don' have any wedding stamps (as yet) I created a simple yet I think elegant look...
The Third card I have is using the current stamp set "Dinoroar" RRP $45.95 clear and $57.95 Wood Mounted. This is the first time I've used this set and now I'm hocked loving every minute it's so much fun to create dinosaurs especially with two sons. I chose a slightly different sentiment " Heard from the Heart" RRP $37.95 Clear and $46.95 Wood to the one in the set and this was because it was for my teenage class...

Fun with the Button Buddies Stamp Set
I have my first of 4 consecutive classes for a group of Teenagers wanting to learn a new hobbie, what better night to teach them about basic Stampin techniques using Stamps and the Wheels.
I have created the above card for tonight using the Button Buddies stamp set, $56.95 Clear mount and $74.95 for the Wood set and using the Designer series buttons to accessorise.
As per our Color Coach Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie are the Creative Combination, however I have run out of Pumpkin Pie so used Tangerine Tango, and I think it looks fab!
Next week we are going to learn about Embossing so watch this space...

What a busy month...
Well what a month Ive had, taking photos for rugby prize giving in between rugby games each weekend, looking after my 2 kids solo while my husband fly's all over the world. Then creating cards and attending Stampin Up days in between. I can finally post some cards.
The first card is from my swap for the Stampin Up Auckland Fun Day out in August. I really love the new Hostess set "Faith in Nature" but didn't want to distract from the great image so kept the card fairly simple in design. I used the new card stock Island Indigo, Pool Party along with So Saffron and Confetti White.
The second card I can't take any credit for it was created using the design from Teneale Williams. The reason I posted it was to show how creative this women is in her design. Mine doesn't compare to her's, but is a great example of how Stampin Up products don't necessarily need a stamped images to get your message across.

Back to Basics
I have a class coming up so I thought I'd have a little play around tonight with the Stampin Up Pencils and I have to say they are easy to use and very versatile and as a set of 24 the price of $45.95 is great.
I used Basic Black and Cajun Craze for the card stock with Confetti white to water color the stamp set Every Moment on RRP $38.95 wood mount and $30.95 clear mount. On the Cajun Craze card stock I stamped with versamark using the stamp set Fresh Cuts RRP $46.95 wood mount.

Easter Treat Box
Well today I had my first Kids craft class and we made an Easter Treat Box. All the kids did a fantastic job punching out the shapes for the bunny and decorating their boxes. The box I used is from the template on Split Coast Stampers under Maria's Treat Box. I changed it slightly to allow for the handle and used the bunny for the Easter theme. The girls got to decorate a pink box and the boys got a blue one, at the end of the class they even got some sweet treats to take home.
I am doing one more class before Easter next weekend and that will be held on Tuesday 19th April at 1- 2.30pm, let me know if you are interested in booking a space, seats are limited.

Scallop Square Toy
I have been playing with the new Scallop Square Bigz Die RRP $52.50 within the Summer Mini Catalogue and what fun I’ve been having. Along with having a class last night on making a Scallop Square bag (picture below) I have also created the Scallop Square Squeaky soft toy. I used black felt for the base material, then to accented each panel I used red and green felt while creating different designs using the Big Shot Dies= Bigz Dies - Beautiful Butterflies RRP $52.50,Original Dies - Blossom Party RRP $40.95, Leaves #2 RRP $36.95 and Ovals RRP $36.95. Once all sides were completed I sewed them all except the last panel together, added the stuffing and squeaky unit then closed it up. Alternatively you could add a bell inside so the kids can shake it instead of squeezing it.
A big thanks goes out to Ann Wills for loaning me most of the dies for this creation!!

Tina’s Great Bag made at last nights class (the red one)
Don’t forget I will be holding a free class on Thursday 31st March at 7.30 to have a sneak peak at the new Autumn Winter Mini catalogue, bookings are essential!

Scallop Square Bag
Dont forget about this Tuesday's bag making class ladies I will be showing you how to make a Scallop Square Bag using the Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die sold within the Summer Mini Catalogue RRP $52.50. I made one on Friday using upholstery fabric (because it was thicker in material and double sided so can be reversed) it took an hour to make from the cutting to the last sewn stitch on the machine, very easy and looks great.
I have a few spaces left so don't delay!!
